I photographed the wedding of Abigail and Lewis on Sunday 2nd August 2015, the day started with the wedding party getting ready at the reception venue of Great Tythe Barn, a stones throw away from the delightful Cotswold town of Tetbury, Gloucestershire. The grade II listed 16th Century barn is the focal point of the estate, which provides the venue for the wedding breakfast and evening reception but the surrounding farm buildings have been tastefully refurbished to provide accommodation.
“We absolutely love the photos that you took at the wedding. They really capture the relaxed, fun nature of the wedding. We couldn’t be happier. You captured so many great memories- and a lot of happy faces! Everyone we have shown them to have also been very impressed. Thank you. “
The marriage ceremony itself was performed at the impressive parish church of St Mary the Virgin and St Mary Magdalen, Tetbury, and is one of the best examples of Georgian Gothic Churches in the country. Once we all returned to Tythe Barn, the canapés and drinks were served in the sunlit gardens accompanied with live music and games such as a coconut shy, limbo dancing and tug of war, all of which ensured a carnival atmosphere that was enjoyed by all the guests.
