I photographed Rebecca and Steven’s Clearwell Castle wedding on Saturday 24th May 2014, a day that provided the added element of dealing with heavy and consistent rain. The photographic coverage started for this wedding at St Hilda’s Church in Griffithstown, South Wales before we headed to the reception venue of Clearwell Castle in Gloucestershire. This 18th century mock Gothic mansion and former recording studio in the Forest of Dean provided the perfect shelter from the inclement weather. Though a short respite saw the bride and groom brave the outside for a few photographs on the castle drive, wisely armed with a white umbrella. Later in the day once the speeches were completed, the clouds parted and the a few brave souls took up the croquet challenge on a rain soaked lawn.
