Sunday 29th May 2011 saw me in Swansea in South Wales to photograph the wedding of Christy and Gareth. I normally receive a commission to photograph a wedding about  12-16 months in advance so this was something of a record breaker for me, being a whole 21 months beforehand.

The whole day was held in the hotel from the bridal preparations through to the ceremony and onwards. Morgans Hotel is in a grade 2 listed building which previously  housed the Swansea Port Authority, it is a beautiful structure and has been decorated is dark rich colours, which whilst attractive does soak up a lot of the ambient light. One of my favourite photographs from today features the three ushers stood at the back of the ceremony room wondering, I suspect, if they have sat guests in the right place, but the thing that makes it for me is the fact that they all have their hands to their faces, photographers appreciate this sort of symmetry!

The whole gallery of wedding photographs can been seen through the ‘online proof’ link back at the main site, www.sachamiller.co.uk.
