Saturday 19th May 2012 and Aberystwyth in Ceredigion, West Wales was in its last month of a one year experiment of having no traffic wardens. So as you can imagine parking was a little tight for the wedding of Catrin and Prys who were married in the town centre Seion Chapel.
Though the happy couple were little hindered by any traffic problems, thanks in part to a helicopter ride from Aberystwyth beach to the reception venue, a marquee in the grounds of Llanerchaeron, a rare example of a self-sufficient 18th-century Welsh minor gentry estate .
I received the comment below from Catrin, even before she had seen the photographs, as a documentary wedding photographer I think how you approach the day is as equally important to the final images.
“I wanted to thank you for everything on our wedding day…you were fantastic and were exactly what we wanted from a photographer. No fuss and a pleasure to work with. We are really excited to see the photos!”
