On the Saturday 21st December 2013 I photographed the Cardiff Museum wedding of Caroline and Neil. The marriage ceremony firstly took place in the council chambers at Cardiff City Hall before the congregation made their way across the road to Cardiff Museum for the wedding reception. Unfortunately the day was experiencing heavy downpours of rain, even the winter wonderland which situates itself opposite the civic buildings during the festive season was closed as the ice rink now resembled a swimming pool. However everyone made it safely and reasonable dry and were greeted with a glass of champagne among the museum’s collection of impressionist and modern art.
The wedding breakfast was served in the magnificent lobby entrance of the museum, which featured a giant Christmas tree. The evening celebrations continued into the night as the bride and groom and their guest hit the dance floor.
