On Saturday 1st November 2014 I was commissioned to photograph the Cardiff Museum wedding of Anna and Gary in South Wales. My day started with a few photographs of the bridal preparations before making my way to the ceremony, which took place in the French Impressionist gallery at the Museum. The ceremony was not until the early evening, as the museum is open to the public during the day, but the wait was worth it, it is not many couples who can boost that they tied the know amongst the works of Renoir and Cezanne.
The National Museum of Wales was founded in 1905, The collection of art assembled by Margaret and Gwendoline Davies, granddaughters of the wealthy industrialist David Davies bequeathed to the museum in the 1950s and 1960s, make Wales’s National Gallery one of international standing.
