Here are some wedding photographs that I created for Claire and James, who were married on Saturday 7th November 2015 at St John’s Church. Situated right in the middle of Cardiff city centre, they provide quite the delightful spectacle for passer-bys and shoppers alike. It was one of those autumnal days here in South Wales that experienced heavy rain and winds, but it managed to stay dry for the brides arrival and for after the ceremony, when the guests made the short walk over to the civic centre to the wedding reception held at Cardiff City Hall.
This 1906 Portland stone building, is an impressive example of Edwardian baroque styled architecture and made for the perfect host for the wedding breakfast and evening celebrations. Amongst the marble hall and statues of famous figures from Welsh history the weddings guest took shelter from the outside elements to celebrate the wedding of Claire and James.
