Saturday 22nd July 2017 I photographed the wedding of Dawn and John at Cardiff Castle in South Wales. Dawn is originally from Cardiff, but they currently live in John’s hometown near Chicago in the USA. A few close friends and family memebers had also made the journey across the Atlantic to join them on their wedding day in South Wales. I started the coverage on the day in the tower rooms of the castle, where Dawn was preparing fro the big day. The marriage ceremony was in the undercroft of the castle, which is in direct contrast to the elaborately decorated banqueting hall where the wedding breakfast was served later on in the day. Before that though the drinsk reception took place in the grounds of the castle, amongst the hustle of visiting tourists. In the evening guests returned to the undercroft for the couple’s first dance and further celebrations.
