The last few years I seem to be taking an annual trip to Scotland to photograph a wedding, and so it was this year, when I travelled across the Caledonian border for Katherine and Andrew’s wedding held on Sunday 3rd May 2015. The whole day was hosted at Balbirnie House near Glenrothes, thirty miles north of Edinburgh acorss the Firth of Forth.
“Thank you so much for getting the pictures to us so promptly, they are fantastic and we’re really pleased with them!”
I started with the bridal preparations before checking in with the groom and ushers who were also getting ready at the hotel. After the ceremony the bride was greeted by her favourite animal, a highland cow, a first for me at any wedding! The weather proved bit of a challenge today, when the rain did ease the grounds were sodden, luckily Katherine came prepared with her own set of wellies. The day was rounded off with a ceilidh band ensuring guests danced the night away to traditional gaelic folk music.
