On one of the hottest days of the year, I found myself travelling to Pembrokeshire in West Wales to photograph the wedding of Charlotte (Charly) and Daniel on Saturday 23rd July 2016. Upon arriving at the marriage ceremony location of St Elidyr’s Church in the village of Amroth, I discovered the groom doing some last minute speech practice in the shade of a church yard tree. It was not long before guests started to arrive, all eagerly anticipating the bride’s entrance. Following the wedding service, the couple were congratulated after walking down the aisle. After which we all returned to the cool interior of this 12th century church where an informal drinks reception was enjoyed.
“Just had a quick look through and some are just wonderful so thank you so much. I think you really captured the joy of the day so I’m thrilled about that. We hardly knew you were there, you’re like a stealth photographer!”
On the way to the wedding breakfast at Trefloyne Manor, we made a short detour to Amroth Beach where Charly and Daniel wanted to have a few photographs on the West Wales coastline. This was the first time I have photographed a wedding at Trefloyne Mnaor. It is not far from the popular seaside town of Tenby, it is a family run boutique hotel int he grounds of a 18 hour golf course.
